From personal experience, make sure you use an etching primer for the aluminum. if you just spray a coat of paint on an aluminum boat it will start chipping and flaking within a year. any automotive paint company has etching primers for aluminum. clean the crap out of the boat and rinse it down as the directions dictate before you spray it..
